| Noter : Ifølge et brev skrevet af Jørgine Therkelsen ( Oldebarn af Niels Christian Leonhard Franch) til Anna Prince i USA ( Barnebarn af Niels Christian Leonhard Franch), skulle Niels Christian Leonhard Franch have været en "dårlig" mand og forladt sin kone og børn. Hans kone Inger Marie Jørgensen boede de sidste år ag sit liv hos datteren Jørgine Franch. Det fremgår endvidere af brevet at Niels Christian Leonhard Franch arbejdede på pairfabrikken i Silkeborg. Kragelund sogns kirkebog 1850-61 - Afgangsliste ---------------------------------------------------------------- Niels Christian Leonhard Frank, 14 5/12 år, tjenestekarl, til Lovenholt nær Salten, Them sogn, skudsmålsbog med. Niels Peder Jensen Frank har oplyst fødselsåret til 1840. . |
| Noter : Brevet fra Jørgine Therkelsen til Anna Prince "Dear Anna, Next I will answer your question. I knew I had an old paper somewhere, and now I have found it. It is written of the parson, in the place where Grandmother was born, in 1882. In the paper is written, that a girl was born 13 of August 1867 the fathers name was Niels Christian Leonhard Franch and mothers name Inger Marie Jergensen. As you see your mothers name was Franch. I suppose that Uncle John and Uncle Frank have changed their fathers second christian name Leonhard to Lindhart. John's christian name was Johannes and Franks was Anton. Grandmother was the oldest, then came Anton and Johannes and Christiane, your mother. Your grandmother is buried in our little place in churchyard. I do not know where your Grandfather rests, suppose grandmother did not know either. Grandmother told me that her father was a bad husband and father, he left his wife and children. Your Grandmother lived the last years of her life in Grandfather and Grandmothers home. And your mother lived there from when she was 12 years old. Grandmother was born in a little place called Vinding, later the family moved to Silkeborg, they also lived in another little place, but I suppose that your mother was born in Silkeborg, where Grandfather worked in the paper mill, which still makes paper to our money. When Grandmother (my grandmother) was 18 she went to Horsens, and when she was engaged to be married with grandfather, they went to visit your Grandmother in Silkeborg. In this time my Grandmother must have had her fathers address for she wrote to him that if he wanted to see her sweetheart he could meet them on the station, but he did not come and she never heard a word from him." |
